Brawal Shipping(Nigeria) Limited has evolved a new management team of experts that have distinguished themselves in the industry to ensure better service to exporters and importers alike. The company is blessed with management experts in the Shipping Industry under the leadership of Chief (Dr) Victor I. Odili, OON.
Chairman/Chief Executive Chief (Dr.) Victor I. Odili, OON, was educated at Corydon Technical College, London and the London School of Economics where he obtained his first degree. He joined Lonhro limited in London and later deployed to Beirut, Lebanon, where he served for many years. He thereafter ventured into private business and later became the Chairman of Aeromaritime Group of Companies in 1975. He is a Director of many successful Companies including Baco Line of Germany and MTN Nigeria Limited.
Group Managing Director Mr. Ben Okonkwo-Atiah obtained B.Sc (Econs) Hons. Degree of the University of Ibadan in 1978. He is a Chartered Manager and Member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (MNIM) and the Nigerian Marketing Association(MNMA). He is also a fellow of the Direct Marketing Association of Nigeria (FDMN). Mr. Okonkwo-Atiah started his career as an Assistant Economist at the Central Bank of Nigeria. He worked briefly with Unipetrol Nigeria Plc. And later joined West African Glass Industry Plc. In 1988 as Marketing Manager. In 1992, he was appointed General Manager/CEO of the same company.
He was also General Manager/CEO of UTC Leasing Limited, a subsidiary of UTC Nigeria plc. Before his present employment, Mr. Okonkwo-Atiah was Managing Director/CEO of Union Leasing Limited, a marine logistics and leasing company. Mr. okonkwo-Atiah has served as instructor/Lead Facilitator for the Equipment Leasing Association of Nigeria (ELAN) on “Leasing and Contract Hire in the oil and Gas Industry in Nigeria”, since 2004. He is married with children.
Director of Commercial Services Mr. Charles Etugbo is a graduate of the University of Lagos with a degree in Business Administration. He is also a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Shipping. He is an all round Shipping Professional having served as Boarding officer, Traffic Manager, Container Control Manager, Agency Manager and Head of Commercial services in companies like Elder Dempster Agencies, Pan Atlantic Shipping and Transport Nigeria Limited, Supermaritime (Nig) Ltd. And Groundview Development company (Terminal Operator) a member of Dangote Group. His experience in shipping and freight is an asset in our understanding of the need of the consumer and formulation of policies that guarantee the customer satisfaction.
Group Head of Administration, Personnel and Legal Davidson Maduabuchi Azuamairo is a learned gentleman duly called to the bar as Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He attended the University of Lagos, Akoka and graduated with Bachelor of Laws LL.B(Hons);Nigerian Law School, Enugu Campus and graduated with Barrister at Law, BL degree; Enugu State University of Science and Technology, graduated with Master of Business Administration, MBA banking and Finance. Mr. Azuamairo is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administration, United Kingdom a student member of Chartered Institute of Bankers Nigeria. Before joining Brawal Shipping Nigeria Limited, Mr. Azuamairo had a successful career in the Telecommunications Industry as he worked for STI Nigeria Limited, formally GTE Nigeria Limited; the Banking Industry as he was a pioneer staff of Zenith Bank Plc. Where he served meritoriously for 17 years after which he had a stint with a legal practice and company Secretarial practice.
Group Chief Accountant Mr. O.O. Aina was educated at University of Ibadan and University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) where he obtained a B.SC Biochemistry in 1974 and M.Sc Pharmaceutical Chemistry in 1979. He articled with Oni-Lasebikan % Co.(Firm of Chartered Accountants) from 1908 to 1983 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant of Nigeria. He worked briefly with some reputable organisations between 1983 and 1993 as Internal Auditor, Company Accountant and Financial Controller before joining Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation as Accountant in August 1993. He served in various capacities within Fianace and Accounts Department(FAD) and promoted to the rank of Deputy Manager in 1998. He retired in 2003 and started a Private Consultancy Business before joining Aeromaritme Nigeria Limited as Group Chief Accountant in August 2008.
Group Internal Auditor Mr. Adebunmi Amos was educated at Ogun State University(now Olabisi Onabanjo University) where he graduated from with a B.Sc Honours degree in Accounting, in April 1987. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria(ICAN), the Nigerian Institute of Management(NIM), and the Institute of Internal Auditors
His working career spanning over 20 years started in 1988 as accounts/Administrative officer with Harry Bee Nigeria Limited, Ibadan, where he rose to become the General Manager in 1993. He also worked with Xerox Nigeria Limited from 1994 to 2005 in various positions of responsibility where he rose to become the Internal Audit Manager. He also worked with Greenview Development Nigeria Limited(Dangote Group) as the pioneer Head of the Internal Audit Department between 2006 and 2008. He worked briefly as Project Consultant with Maylon Ports and Marine Services Limited(2008/2009) before joining Aeromaritime Group as Group Internal Auditor in September 2009.
